Comedy by Design performs scenic based improv comedy supplied by your audience’s suggestions. Our casts come TO YOU prepared with the specifics of what you want your show to be so that it is catered uniquely for you. All shows include as much or as little audience participation, including having them perform with the cast!

Casts
Comedy by Design casts are pulling from a large pool of a multitude of unique talents in all shapes and sizes. Each member is a trained actor and trained improv performer that has the ability to make the masses giggle or make the more intimate groups guffaw.

Teaching Programs
We endeavor to create entertaining programs and shows for all ages enabling your group to explore their imagination while using integral disciplines of leadership, teamwork, and individual artistic expression within the arena of a group environment. Directors
Joy Theatre is the creation of Joshua Minnick and Janiece Jary. They have performed improv and sketch comedy at the Acme comedy Theatre, Improv Olympic, The Complex, the LA Connection, Camp Ronald McDonald and countless parties, conventions, corporations, temples, churches and venues around Los Angeles and the country. Groundlings trained, their children’s comedy has been featured on CNN and in the LA Times. In addition to Comedy, Josh and Janiece are proud members of SAG and have performed in numerous plays and are active in the television and film industry.
