Scholarship Agreement

Joy Theatre's scholarships are given to committed members of Joy Theatre who have a financial need to continue with their classes or children in Foster or Group Home Care. Full or partial scholarships are given by the "Ask and Ye Shall Receive" policy as long as both the parents and student understand and adhere to the Scholarship guidelines. If you are wanting to join the theatre but can't afford it at this time, please come ask us about our work program.

Scholarships are granted by conversation between the parent and either Josh or Janiece. These classes are paid for by Josh and Janiece as well as generous donations of other Joy Theatre member parents, Joy Theatre friends and loved ones, and often from the show earnings of our performers who put their money in "THE GREEN PIG". The green pig collects change to checks for those who want to spread more JOY. *click HERE to share the JOY to those who need some laughter in their lives.

Scholarships are confidential, meaning we don't tell anyone, and you don't tell anyone either. Both parents and students are expected to abide by the attendance police to the "T" as a courtesy to Joy Theatre *click to see Attendance Policy here. The students are also expected to have the materials (sketches, costumes, jokes, etc.) asked of them each week and be a prepared example of a Joy Theatre member.
